Biography of Vladimir Katryuk

In Belarus, the Ukrainian policeman Katryuk is judged. Canada never issued a punisher who lived to share the Supreme Court of Belarus up to 93 years on February 08, began to consider the criminal case against Vladimir Katryuk, one of the executioners burned in March, along with residents of the village of Hatin. She became a symbol of barbarism, which was created on the Soviet land in the Great Patriotic Nazis.

That was their "new European order." After the Great Patriotic War, Katryuk managed to hide from the court and avoid retaliation. From a year he lived in Canada. This country sheltered after the war many Nazi criminals. Including granted citizenship to Katryuk, whose hands were on the elbow in the blood of the children, women and the elderly killed by him. The offender lived up to 93 years and died in the year.

In some places, headlines with a claim to trolling appeared: "The dead man is judged in Belarus." In fact, Belarusian justice gives the necessary legal assessment to the acts of the Nazis. And this is true in relation to the memory of the victims of the Nazis. There were many youth in the meeting room. And these were not indifferent listeners. Because "no one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten." The process in Minsk is largely aimed at young people, on the future.

From generation to generation, it is necessary to transfer the memory of what was happening on the Soviet territory occupied by the fascists. After the death of Vladimir Katryuk, documents from American archives were decrypted near 10 years ago. It was, in particular, about the activities of the GO security police battalion, where the executioner served. The basis of the battalion, which was formed in the year in the Kyiv region, was compiled by Ukrainian nationalists and prisoners of war radically configured against the USSR.

In the occupied territory of the Belarusian SSR, the police battalion took part in the most cruel operations to "appease" partisans and civilians. In the course of punitive shares, the battalion interacted with other formations, including the SS probing under the guidance of unique, even according to the concepts of Nazis, scumbag Oscar Dirlewanger. The most active structural part was the first company, which consisted mainly of nationalists of Western Ukraine.

The first platoon of this company was headed by Vladimir Katryuk. His biography is an example of how baseness the "person" can fall. After a fracture came in the war, Katryuk deserted from the battalion and ended up in the ranks of French anti -fascist resistance, and after the war he served in the French foreign legion. He went to Canada in M: then Katryuk provided information about his heroic activity during the war and after the French side.

As a result, I received a residence permit behind the ocean. And for 30 years he was as a peaceful inhabitant, with a heroic combat past behind his back. Punisher Vladimir Katryuk. Photo: photos from open sources to calculate the Nazi were extremely difficult, but the Soviet Chekists still did this in x. About 40 years ago, through the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minsk prosecutor for the first time sent an official letter to the Canadian authorities with a request to issue Katryuk to appear before the court.

An accurate address and photography provided by Soviet intelligence were attached to the letter. In fact, no reaction then followed. Nevertheless, the matter was brought to Katryuk - after the collapse of the Soviet Union. But no real measures were taken. Moreover, after the summer trial, with the active pressure of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada, the former policeman was completely restored as a Canadian citizen.

And in Chernivtsi, from where the punisher came from, the authorities awarded Katryuk the title of honorary citizen. Shortly before his death in May, the Investigative Committee of Russia made another attempt to restore justice, initiating a criminal case against the Nazi under the article "Genocide". But Canada refused to issue a criminal. Before the open process in Minsk, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the Katryuk case is one of the important stages and the results of the criminal case of the Genocide of the Belarusian people during the war years.

The state prosecutor at the trial was the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus Alexei Stuk. A few minutes before the beginning of the hearing, he said that the indictment on the criminal activity of Katryuk has 35 volumes. The evidence base was collected, first of all, thanks to cooperation with colleagues from the Russian Federation - Prosecutor General, Investigative Committee, and the Ministry of Defense.

Biography of Vladimir Katryuk

In particular, proven is the fact that Katryuk, in addition to participating in the destruction of Khatyn, was involved in the murder of Jewish families, which were hidden in dugouts in the Lucino Bor. Punishers threw unfortunate people with grenades, having previously taken their property. The Minsk process has become possible, including thanks to legal mechanisms introduced in Belarus in Belarus, which allow the trial against the deceased accused.

And this is just that case.As Alexei Stuk noted, the Prosecutor General of Belarus requested a number of states about legal assistance - including the search for relatives of the defendant. However, the Canadian side did not provide any information on this person. And her potential participation in the process was "frozen." It is noteworthy that in this case it was possible to constructively cooperate with Germany, Slovakia.

But the closest neighbors of Belarus - Poland and the Baltic countries - refused to provide the information they have. The knocking several times drew attention to the fact that the military criminal Katryuk actually remained unpunished and the fact that the political elites of some countries are actively heroizing the Nazis today, actually raising them to the rank of “heroes of the national liberation movement”.

By all means, it is necessary to counteract such processes and show the true face of these "freedom fighters," said Deputy Prosecutor General. About 40 witnesses are held in the Katryuk case. None of them could attend the process. Then the children who saw the atrocities of the Nazis today are old people. Most have health problems. During the hearing of the criminal case, the state prosecutor read numerous pages of the collected materials.

The names of the executioner and their victims sounded. And in the ears of many, there was a bell ringing, floating over the former village of Hatin. Its inhabitants were burned alive and shot. Most of them - 75 people - were children, and the youngest at the time of the terrible death was six weeks. This crime was committed, including the young policeman Vladimir Katryuk. He shot from a carbine at people who ran out of the barn covered by the flame.

At the time of preparation of the material, it was not known which verdict was issued by the Supreme Court. If Katryuk was alive, such a question would not have arisen. But in connection with the death of the accused, the highest measure of punishment becomes a conditional character. The fact comes to the first place: attempts to block the past, forget or vice versa to make the killers heroes in Belarus and Russia are impossible.
