Olga Buyanova biography
The habitat of Bookart-Online on June 22, the author and partners of the publication talked about how it was created, who could be interesting, the most striking moments from the book and why significant art gymnastics tournaments no longer go in the region. Last week, a presentation of the book of Honored Coach of the USSR and Russia, a member of the Presidium of the Russian Federation on rhythmic gymnastics, senior coach of a specialized school in rhythmic gymnastics in Irkutsk Olga Buyanova, took place.
How was the idea of a book born? Olga Buyanova: When I returned from the Olympics in London, memories surged over me. At that time, 40 years of work in sports, ups and falls, championships of Russia and Europe. And after the Olympic Games, it seemed to me that the moment came when it was necessary to summarize some result. The first three months it was difficult for me, thoughts constantly besieged, my memory overwhelmed my memory, and I needed to somehow get rid of it.
At that time, fortunately, we met Ksenia Dronova, in her face I found a grateful listener and began to tell her all about myself. It seemed to her so interesting that she offered to write a book. I admit: I do not like to state thoughts on paper, not a writer. Ksenia and my son Victor gave me a voice recorder for my birthday and told me to dictate memories when there would be a mood.
I began my story with the first student - Oksana Kostina, it turned out not fast. After the Olympics, there were even more worries. The school opened, new children came, and there was practically no free time. Only at moments of rest, and they happen about once a year by days, I could slander something. Ksenia wrote the first chapter "Oksana". There were doubts about who needs it and whether someone would read it at all.
In order to refute or confirm doubts, we posted the chapter into the network. I was surprised by a huge number of comments and responses that I received. We decided: to be a book. The creation process took six years. And then, finally, we see a ready -made book. Another of the reasons for creating a book is in the distant past. When Oksana Kostin came to me, I was a young and inexperienced coach.
I was lucky to immediately get into the USSR national team. I met with difficult relationships: coach and athlete. She began to look for literature - it did not exist in rhythmic gymnastics. I read about Latynin, about Borzova, about swimming and football. All where the methods of resolving conflicts between the coach and the athlete and overcoming difficult situations were shown.
When we wrote this book, I thought that many young coaches would read it and draw something important for themselves. The third reason - it seems to me that everyone wants to leave his mark in life. An interesting life, championships and Olympics, all glory - it passes. And the coach, who managed to share his experience, will remain forever. Now my students and other coaches can gain experience, and I will know what helped them and shared knowledge.
Not only Sport Olga Buyanova: the book has the story of my personal life, childhood, parents and the answer to the question: why and why I myself went to gymnastics. About my friends I am proud of. I did not particularly spread about such moments, and now they are all in this book. I am especially grateful to my son - Ilya Buyanova, who collected excellent photographs, did a huge work on them.
He digitized them, helped to recall some details of life. I am very grateful to my husband Anatoly, who remembered all the dates and helped me set them. I am grateful to Ksenia, who understood me and my soul, and wrote everything so that it was interesting to the reader. In this book I wanted to show that every performance and every victory is a multifaceted and great work of the team, and we had such a team.
It consisted of my husband, choreographers, composer, doctor who was always there, friends. It was my team. And I would not have done one. The workflow of Ksenia Dronova, the author of the literary text: perhaps the most difficult thing for me was not so much to understand the rules of rhythmic gymnastics, but to persuade Olga Vladimirovna to reveal, because all this is a deeply personal story.
I wanted to show how I see my heroine, but periodically Olga Buyanova from the book conflict with Olga Buyanova from real life. We have retained a lot of emotions and experiences and, in my opinion, this is the great value of the book. My favorite chapter is about Oksana Kostin, this is a real drama. I am sure that this is a plot for a good artistic sports film.
This is the history of our city, region and country. The book is journalistic. For me, it was a chance to help keep history for people. I want it to be read by my children and grandchildren, or people completely unfamiliar to me. The value of the book by Pavel Bogatyrev, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Irkutsk Region: such books infrequently publish in ours. Almost the entire history of rhythmic gymnastics of the Irkutsk region is associated with the name of Olga Vladimirovna.I am sure that the book will be interesting not only to athletes, but also to all residents of the Irkutsk region, because this is a whole era, very important for us.
After all, it tells about people who glorified our homeland in sports. I would like to hope that the book will have many fans, that it will be an assistant to novice coaches, parents who will finally understand that such a large sport is a big business that requires complete return. Gymnastics is one of the most popular sport in the region. With the help of Olga Vladimirovna and her team, with the help of students whom she educates, we hope to see even more winners of the competitions of the All -Russian, International and Olympic levels.
The book about friendship Boris Rozhansky, director of Asia Musik, a friend of the author and partner of the publication of the book: we met Olga Vladimirovna in E at the tournament in memory of Oksana Kostina. Then two creative people collided - and found a common language. We began to work in tournaments. Moreover, I began to come to her training - future champions grew up before my eyes.
I traveled with Daria Dmitrieva to her very first competitions. My daughter is now engaged in Olga Vladimirovna. We collected auctions in support of rhythmic gymnastics - all this is important for sports, so that those children who go to school have more opportunities for trips and training than before. Olga Vladimirovna talked many times about the fact that she wanted to reflect her life in the book, and of course, I supported.
After all, she has something to tell about: so many medals, even trained the Italian team, so many Olympic champions issued. Where is the second such person in Irkutsk in sports? He is not. I simply could not help but support her idea. About the new Sports Palace Olga Buyanova: When we started holding tournaments dedicated to Oksana Kostina, it is very difficult without the experience of the organization.
There were no connections either, all the equipment was expensive, and so on.
As a result, we held 13 tournaments and three cups of the world in Irkutsk. Every year we had better and better, but we stopped. In our city there is no suitable sports structure. The tournament was on top, the audience was delighted, the organizers, the Ministry of Sports too. But the president of the All -Russian Federation of rhythmic gymnastics, Irina Aleksandrovna Winner, said: "We cannot hold such a chic event like you in such a terrible hall." So far there is no place for this.
The Irkutsk school is considered the center of world gymnastics, and therefore we came to us at all tournaments, and we must show the level of our halls and premises. So far, this is impossible. The new “Baikal Arena” is an arena not provided for rhythmic gymnastics. In our city, endless shopping centers are being built, but they do not build sports, alas. You can buy a book on the site.
