Ratmir Musaevich, tell us a little about yourself: where do you come from, where have you grown up and received an education? I was born in the Republic of Dagestan, but not here grew here, given that my father is a military doctor. About people like me, they say: "My address is not a house or a street, my address is the Soviet Union." We moved a lot, spent a long time abroad, and in the end I graduated from the school when we lived in the Voronezh region.

When you decided that you will work in the field of healthcare, and did the family or close environment have affected the choice of a profession? When your dad is a military surgeon, and at the age of 5-6, you play with scalpels, clamps, syringes and needles, there is no other choice, except to become a doctor. Why did the orthopedics choose? I initially did not want to be an orthopedic, but it so happened that after the end of the service I got into the department of traumatology and orthopedics, where my chief Denis Valerievich Yolkin was the head.

He was a refined orthopedist, so he is now a good doctor and my teacher. He loved only orthopedics and instilled in me love for it-I just can't say in any other way. What higher educational institution did you graduate and how did your career have? I graduated from the Kirov Military Medical Academy in the city of St. Petersburg, the faculty of training doctors for the Navy, then served in units of the Navy.

After dismissal, he went to study at the Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center. Tell us about your department: what do specialists do? I believe that we have the most advanced compartment. Our hospital is the largest in the North Caucasus and in bed capacity, and in diagnostics, and in treatment. In our department, orthoscopic surgery, regenerative medicine, surgery of limb deformation and, of course, endoprosthetics of large and small joints are developed.

Is any scientific work carried out besides surgery? A patent was obtained on the subchondral introduction of plasma, enriched by growth factors for joint regeneration. It was one of the best patents in the Russian Federation in years. Is there any statistics, what kind of contingent of patients by age and floor most often seeks help and what problems most often? We have been taking patients from 10 years old.

The oldest operated was 97 years old. Citizens over 50 years old, as a rule, need to be replaced by joints: in our department they are carried out near such operations per year, plus we solve problems with limb deformations - flat feet, cones on the feet. We are engaged, of course, regenerative therapy. Are there any problems in the work and how do you solve them?

Given that Dagestan is the most sports region of the Russian Federation, and we have a department of traumatology, orthopedics and sports medicine, orthoscopic surgery is very developed, and equipment is one of the best in Russia, and with its help the entire spectrum of surgical interventions is carried out. Fortunately, thanks to the leadership of the republic, we have no problems at all and all the conditions are created so that they do not arise and we only think about work.
